Holiday Bucket List
Tis the season for all of your cold weather month activities!
It’s time for another Bucket List, Holiday edition. Bust out the festive decorations, the gingerbread houses, and all the holiday movie favorites and get ready to spread some holiday cheer!
I don’t know about you guys, but my parents have had decorations up in our household the entire month of November, so to say that we are ready for the holidays is an understatement!
However, we’ve been holding off on doing all of the fun holiday activities for the month of December to make sure we hang onto the holiday spirit the entire season long!
As with all of our bucket lists we do a little combination of outings, at home quality time, and fun recipes/activities in the kitchen!
We like to keep our bucket list very manageable and realistic. Especially with the busy holiday season and the cost of presents that already goes into this season, we wanted to keep it easy and doable. Most of our items are free and happen right inside our home!
Get Out & About!
With our outings, the first thing mom did was google some dog friendly holiday events going on near her. Surprisingly there were several fun things that were pretty local to us.
Go Walk Around Candy Cane Lane
Meet & Take a Picture with Santa Claus
Go See & Play in the Snow
First on the list, there is a neighborhood near us that got the nickname, Candy Cane Lane, for all of the decorations and lights. It is a very popular spot during the holiday season to park and walk through to see all the fun decorations!
Next up, I can't believe I'm saying this, but, I've NEVER met Santa! I know, I know, that's crazy!! But we've finally got it on our list and there's actually a dog friendly Santa Pup Up down in Huntington Beach for the next couple of Sundays that we are going to go check out.
Lastly, for our fun outings, we have a trip to go see some snow! If you were following us last year, we made the big trip up to Washington to see our families for the holidays so I got to have a white Christmas and it was AMAZING! We’ll keep the drive much closer this year and probably just go up to Big Bear, but snow is a must for our list.
In & Around the House
Next up, we have easy at home activities to spend some quality time with your family!
Go for a Neighborhood Christmas Light Walk
Have a Matching Pajama Christmas Movie Night
Take Holiday Pictures & Send out Cards
We will be doing multiple neighborhood Christmas light walks to see all the different decorations that are up. We love this because it's a fun way to get our daily exercise in!
We also need to take some fun holiday photos so that we can send out those Christmas cards! (If you’d like to receive one, let us know by sending us an email at hello@grahamfriendly.com with your address!)
Next up, we are most definitely going to be putting on our matching holiday pajamas and having a holiday movie marathon! We will probably pair this with one of our food related bucket list items because we will definitely need a yummy snack to go with our movies!
Festive Treats!
Lastly, our favorite…TREATS!
Decorate Dog Friendly Christmas Cookies
Make a Festive Puptail
Mom found a dog friendly gingerbread house at Target and thought this would be so fun to decorate and of course to taste test! She also found some dog friendly cookie recipes that we will be making! I cannot wait to try all the tasty new treats.
To wash down these tasty treats we are also going to be creating a fun Festive Puptail! The holidays are full of fun cocktails and mocktails for all the humans, so let's make one for us pups. I’ll be posting some recipes we found and can keep you updated on the best ones we try!
Our favorite part of doing this weekly newsletter/blog is being able to connect with you guys on a deeper level than just a few likes on an instagram post. We love getting to know more about you guys and hear what you guys enjoy doing in your free time.
We will make sure to post our bucket list, as well as a blank template for you guys on our Instagram page so you can make your own. Make sure to tag us in your adventures so we can follow along!
With that, I ‘m off to try on my pajamas. Talk to you next week and as always, stay friendly!
